Vale Sr Sandra SSA 22 August 1942 –19 April 2026

Our dear Sister Sandra SSA died peacefully on Sunday 19 April after a short illness. Although Sr Sandra had been in care for the last few years, she remained alert and had joined us for our Holy Week Eucharist and morning tea shortly before her death.

Sr Sandra’s funeral was held at St Colomb’s Anglican Church, Clayfield on 1 May and was a joyful celebration of a life of faith and service. Many people who had known Sr Sandra from the different parts of her life joined her family and the Society in giving thanks to God for her. We commend her to God’s care and the company of all the Sisters who have departed this life, and to her beloved companion Barney.
